Owner Matthew O'Malley of Mainstay Hospitality (Park Grill, Grace O'Malley's, Wabash Tap) brought in Kendal Duque (most known for his time at Sepia) to bring a contemporary update to his classic American restaurant. Named after the restored turn-of-the century firehouse the restaurant calls home, the restaurant offers both a casual and more formal dining room. Indispensable classics such as oysters Rockefeller and a double-cut pork chop dressed with barbecue sauce, will stay put. Other dishes have gotten updates, such as butter sauced-seafood dishes reworked with lighter, fresher preparations. Craft brews and specialty cocktails are also new offerings brought in with the South Loop's younger residents in mind.
