Founded in 1905, this cultural center serves an important mission in the Mexican-American community and for others interested in the art of this ethnic group. The center organizes after-school programs for kids, as well as performances, exhibitions and workshops to promote art in the neighborhood. Casa Aztlan works in preserving the Mexican traditions such as Day of the Dead and other Mexican holidays. Both interior and exterior murals by artists including Ray Patlan, Salvador Vega, Aurelio Diaz and Marcos Raya make Casa Aztlan a unique place for the lovers of this important Mexican art form.
