Don't come looking for a cheap cup of drip coffee at this tiny Bucktown cafe. The folks behind the place are serious about espresso, and only espresso shots and espresso-based drinks from a tricked-out espresso machine complete with fancy temperature controls will do. Even regular old coffee is made to order, one cup at a time. The house roast comes courtesy of Grand Rapids, Mich.-based roaster Madcap Coffee Company; beans from other small-batch, single-run and direct-trade roasters such as Denver's Novo Coffee, San Francisco's Ritual Coffee Roasters and Seattle's Victrola Coffee Roasters also make the rotation. Though the focus is espresso, you can pick up breakfast pastries from West Town bakery La Farine too. Hot chocolate, chai and teas from Milwaukee's Rishi Tea are also available, if you must.
