In the former location of Benz bar and Benedict’s, Brownstone Tavern & Grill has created its Chicago home in a completely different fashion than its predecessors. This North Center bar mixes in 11 plasma TVs, DJs on the weekends, and is proud to offer its Signature Summer Cocktails.

"Visit us and try our new signature summer cocktails. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed," Nick Ostrowski of Brownstone Tavern & Grill said.

Brownstone Tavern & Grill's new Signature Summer Cocktails includes the Moscow Mule. This drink combines Tito's handmade vodka served in the traditional copper mug over ice with the juice of three freshly squeezed lime wedges and topped with Barritt’s Bermuda ginger beer. Brownstone is also featuring the Charleston, which includes Bulleit rye whiskey mixed with St. Germain elderflower liqueur and a couple dashes of Angostura bitters, served over ice and topped with Barritt’s Bermuda ginger beer. The Prosecco Blossom offers Lamberti Prosecco served chilled in a flute, topped with a sturdy of pour of St. Germain elderflower liqueur and garnished with a lemon twist.

In addition, the Paloma cocktail includes Avion Silver tequila mixed with the juice of fresh lime and San Pellegrino grapefruit soda, all of which is served over ice in a Collins glass and garnished with a lime wheel and a salted or unsalted rim. On the other hand, the El Platano combines Bacardi Superior, Monin Pure Cane Syrup, fresh lime juice and strawberry-banana nectar served in a pint glass over ice with a strawberry garnish. The unique cocktails described above cost $9 each.

"We have regular cocktails, but we also feature low-calorie cocktails," Ostrowski said.

For those so inclined, Brownstone Tavern & Grill’s low-calorie summer cocktails include the Pamplona Sangria, the Pama Cooler and the Diet Creamsicle. At 155 calories, Pamplona Sangria combines Matthew Fritz Pinot Noir served over ice with a pour of Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur and topped with Diet Coke and a lime wedge. The Pama Cooler, at 145 calories, includes Voli Citrus Light vodka over ice, topped with sparkling water, a float of Pama pomegranate liqueur and a lime wedge garnish. While the Diet Creamsicle is 125 calories and features a hefty pour of Voli Light Orange Vanilla vodka mixed with a modest amount of fresh orange juice, Monin sugar-free sweetener and a dash of half-and-half served over ice with an orange slice. These low-calorie cocktail options cost $8.
