This all-electric food truck serves three types of savory pasties -- pronounced "past-ees," -- throughout various parts of the city. Jay Sebastian and his wife, Carrie Clark, who grew up snacking on the hand-held pies during childhood trips to Ireland, offer chicken, beef and vegetable pastys, wrapped in paper, from a window on their converted catering truck. Daily selections include chicken curry, steak with potatoes and rutabaga, a shepherd pie-like pasty made with ground beef and a vegetarian pasty packed with gruyere, spinach and mushroom. The pies are made with a yeast-free, French butter-laden pastry-type crust. And although the idea was inspired by the UK, the ingredients come from close to home: Sebastian says he uses locally grown ingredients. Follow @BridgeportPasty for more info on its daily routes.
