Update: Bobo's Market-Cafe is now closed.
The passing of owner Renee Parpart's dog Bobo inspired her to re-examine her eating habits. She switched to organic eggs and milk -- and created this Ukrainian Village cafe, which serves open-faced, toasted sandwiches made with antibiotic- and hormone-free ham, turkey and other ingredients. Bobo's BLT, caprese and other sandwiches come on a French baguette with touches such as olive tapenade and garbanzo bean spread. Pair your pick with homemade chilled tea or sweets such as almond cake and macaroons. The sandwich shop, which is decorated with antique pine cabinets purchased at an estate sale, also serves pizzas (both red- and white-sauced versions) and sells items such as sea salt to take home.
