Pan-Asian fusion cuisine is the rule at this Rogers Park eatery where Chef/Owner Ida Pasty mixes traditional Thai cooking from her homeland with European classics and local seasonal favorites from her two adopted lands: France and Chicago. Building on the 15-year success of sister restaurant Lemon Tree in Naperville, Blue Elephant offers traditional Thai noodle dishes and curries as well as Pasty's own blended creations like duck in a dark blackberry sauce, fish served with a seasonal fruit sauce and an ever-changing selection of desserts. The space is small and cozy with outside tables on nice days.
