This counter-service spot in Wicker Park features a lineup of seasonal sandwiches created with house-made ingredients, including house-roasted meats and handmade mozzerella. As you might have gathered, these are no garden-variety sandwiches. Look for premium ingredients such as La Quercia prosciutto, Mint Creek lamb and artisan cheeses (former Pastoral fromager Daniel Sirko is a partner, so standard-issue deli provolone is not in the mix). Though lighter fare is the main focus, brunch is served on weekends and burger nights are held weekdays during the summer. The dining area is rustic but urban, with hardwood floors, a full wall of exposed brick and an open kitchen, plus some unique recycled elements such as the seating along the east wall (it was once a church pew) and the chairs (their first home was a now-defunct Chicago bar).
