Bia for Mia is currently closed; stay tuned for reopening details. During its vacation, The Rice Table pop-up restaurant is being hosted there.
The owners describe this purple-and-cantaloupe-colored River West spot as an "Italian fun pub." The menu at Bia for Mia (the name roughly translates to "be mine" in Italian) includes a sushi-like caprese roll -- sliced arugula and basil rolled inside buffalo mozzarella – plus pizzas, soups and paninis. Diners can order seared sea bass, pasta or a burger (including one topped with spaghetti) at the more than 25-foot wood bar -- or snack on fried zucchini with bel paese cheese and mascarpone dipping sauce tableside while sitting on upholstered benches. Thirsty? The eatery also offers 18 wines by the glass, more than 10 craft brewery beers, half-carafes of house chardonnay or cabernet, plus cherry and limoncello bellinis. Diners now have more dining opitions that Bia for Mia opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays for Brunch.
