Beer enthusiasts and Belgian food fans will likely love this Rogers Park tavern, located near the Jarvis Red Line stop, which hopes to open by spring 2012. The bar sports 15-foot ceilings and booths made from dark cherry wood; its menu includes Belgian-influenced cuisine and roughly 100 types of beer. In addition to bottles, 20 beers will be on tap. The selection will include standard varieties and Belgian brews seasoned with flavors like chocolate and onion. Patrons can nosh on an angus burger, cheese plate or homemade fries. A selection of seafood, including calamari, crab cakes and mussels prepared with white wine, will also be available. Another plus: The kitchen stays open until midnight.
