Jason Freiman and Nick Podesta teamed up with Matt Eisler and Kevin Heisner to open this craft beer and sausage bar on the border of Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village. Though the beer-sausage combo may conjure images of European beerhalls, this rustic, woodsy space skews more Wisconsin than Germany. Beer -- American craft brews, specifically -- gets top billing here, served from an antique beer cooler, taps mounted on the bar's back wall, hand-pumped engines and even a small-scale home-brewing system in the back. About a dozen sausages promise to soak up the suds, along with cheese and salty snacks like house-made pretzels and chips.
