It’s summertime, and as diners, bar hoppers and sports watchers attested to, the setting is pretty on the grand outdoor patio of Austin's Saloon & Eatery, a premier Libertyville restaurant and bar.

“The many faceted patio was voted No. 1 in Lake County in a survey taken by a local newspaper,” Gregg Kalble of Austin’s Saloon & Eatery said.

Austin’s patio, which can seat up to 200 people, is surrounded by bright, multi-colored and gorgeous flowers, giving it a lush and semi-secluded atmosphere. It features a full-service bar and tables with umbrellas that allow for shaded or sunny seating. To keep things cool, sprayers provide a gentle mist over the entire patio.

“Our patio is great for business meetings, after work parties or any occasion where one just wants to be outside with good food and drink among friends,” Kalble said.

The fire pit at the center of the patio livens up the night, and for those who want more entertainment, there are four high-definition TVs.

Austin’s Saloon & Eatery has been a local tradition since 1992 and with the opening of its Fuel Room in late 2006, it is quickly gaining national respect.

“We are committed to providing only the best of the best,” Kalble said.
