Paper lantern-style pillar lights and hand-carved oak tables set the stage for this upscale Asian fusion spot located smack dab in the heart of the Financial District. The contemporary menu is equally divided between small plates, bento boxes and maki (if you're going for the latter, check out the Ocean Chicago, made with green bell peppers, tuna, hamachi, cilantro, pico de gallo and avocado). The lunch menu features a broad selection of banh mi sandwiches (choose from short ribs, tofu, chicken or barbecue pork), all served with Thai coleslaw and garlic-herb French fries. The restaurant draws a businessy crowd for breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings, but if you're just looking for a quick bite, you can grab a bar menu and dig into light apps such as spring rolls and miso soup and pair 'em with a cocktail from the bar or one of several wines by the glass.
