This cozy neighborhood cafe and restaurant resides on a quiet residential street in Bucktown. In the morning, you’ll find European-style coffee, which is roasted on-site, with Central and Northern Italian fare in the evening. Named for the Italian word for "antique," in a nod to the antique shop that was in the space before it, the rustic interior is decked out in hickory wood floors, exposed brick and skylights for plenty of natural light. Fresh, local ingredients are found throughout the simply prepared, authentic entrees, with many ingredients plucked from the garden patio during the growing season. The menu includes antipasti with a focus on fresh vegetables, seafood, salami and house-made sausage, along with house-made pastas with ragu plus meat courses including game birds, lamb and beef. Desserts are simple and seasonal, like most everything else on the menu.
