Owner Anna Makmok, a former partner at Thalia Spice, opened this West Loop pan-Asian eatery with Thalia Spice's former head chef--her mom, who hails from Laos and now mans the kitchen at Anna's. The bistro's menu includes Thai, Indian, Korean and Japanese influences. Diners can order their seared scallops with mango salsa to-go or nosh on sushi bar selections and baby back ribs made from a family recipe at one of the tables in the eatery's modern dining room. There's plenty for vegetarians, too: In addition to Anna's meat-free appetizers, all curry dishes are made with a fish-free curry sauce.
