Named after Abram Gale, who built the Galewood neighborhood in the 1800s, this Elmwood Park-area bar was designed to offer a downtown club feel. Bands and DJs offer live music from Wednesday to Saturday; neighborhood residents flock to the white granite bar to order the signature Abram Gale pear-and-vodka martini, bottled beer and other drinks. Clubgoers craving a snack can also choose from a menu of entrees, pizzas and appetizers such as calamari and chicken tenders, which they can nosh on while watching sports on one of the bar's large plasma TVs.
