The lounge-y upstairs will pack in 160 seats in a bar-meets-lounge environment — think cocktails, roving dim sum carts and raucous karaoke. Drinks are the focus at 2Fun, with dim sum limited to a menu of 10 to 15 out-of-the-box snacks that go beyond the traditional. When it comes to 2Fun, Baker is most excited about the selection of baijiu, China’s most popular spirit (and, based on per capita consumption, the world’s most widely consumed alcoholic beverage), featuring it as both back-bar pours and in cocktails. The baijiu mule ($12) includes the sorghum-based baijiu and ginger beer, while the Shanghai Sky ($12) is a mix of mezcal, baijiu, lemon and Luxardo. The large-format Changbaishan Volcano encourages sharing and is made with rum, brandy, orgeat and citrus. There will also be an oolong island iced tea, boasting oolong tea-infused spirits and popping boba (tapioca pearls), plus 24 beers (both local and Chinese brewers) on tap. Frozen cocktails, Asian whiskey and rum, and organic and biodynamic wines round out the program.
