1112 Gallery is in a beautiful building reminiscent of old Europe. Enter through a large heavy glass door into a renovated venue perfect for art exhibitions. The main room of Gallery 1112, with its high ceilings and wide open space, makes it large enough to display any size art. New exhibitions appear every one to two months, then usually travel to other galleries around the country. 1112 Gallery was created to draw attention to and promote art from Central and Eastern Europe. The gallery is also involved with promoting American art in Central and Eastern Europe. 'Most people don't understand Central and Eastern European art because they are rarely exposed to it, and when they are exposed to it, it's not a good representation,'' says Christopher Kamyszew, director for the Society for Arts at 1112 Gallery.
