Nicki's Hot Spots

I enjoy most any type of place. Some of these spots are fancy and well known, others are hidden dive gems. Some are new as well, and I'm lovin it baby.

    MaxBar - 3 1/2

2247 N. Lincoln Ave. - Chicago (Lincoln Park)

It never fails. At least 3 times out of the month, this is my afterhours choice when getting out of work. Love the VIP. but I'm a little upset about the removal of the stripper pole. What happened there? The music is always rockin' and the crowd usually tends to be pretty good looking. It's also a plus that I live just a few blocks away

    Uncle Julio's Hacienda - 3 1/2

855 W. North Ave. - Chicago (Old Town)

Gotta love happy hour paired with some tequila shots and tacos. The food is so delicious!! This has been a favorite of mine for years

    The Joynt

    The Joynt - 3 1/2

650 N. Dearborn St. - Chicago (River North)

Seriously, check this place out! The crowd is more targeted towards upscale 30 and up but I enjoy that. There's nothing I like more than sipping on a martini and listening to soothing live entertainment without having to worry about drunk idiots. This place is relaxing and sultry. I will certainly be back for more!

    Happy Village

    Happy Village - 4 1/2

1059 N. Wolcott Ave. - Chicago (East Village / Ukrainian Village)

Seriously. Just about the best beer garden in the city. It's hidden just South of Division on Wolcott. When you walk in, it's a total dive bar, but the beer garden has just been redone and it's sweet. Ping pong rooms in the back too, now you can't beat that! The staff doesn't really favor outsiders, but they were very friendly to me!

    The Boundary

    The Boundary - 4 1/2

1932 W. Division St. - Chicago (East Village / Ukrainian Village)

I was very impressed with the presentation of this place. Their outdoor patio is pretty sweet. It's huge so I've never felt packed. It attracts a really good looking crowd. Great night spot.

    Angels & Mariachis

    Angels & Mariachis - 2 1/2

1721 W. Division St. - Chicago (East Village / Ukrainian Village)

Great patio! The decor on the inside is very strange and unique. The place looks really awesome lit up at night too. The drinks were strong, so that means I'll be back!

    ZED451 - 3

739 N. Clark St. - Chicago (River North)

What's better than sipping drinks while sitting on an amazing rooftop overlooking the inside of the city? Haven't eaten much here yet, but the ambiance is enough to make me come back!

    Angels & Kings

    Angels & Kings - 2 1/2

710 N. Clark St. - Chicago (River North)

I guess I'm all about the decor in these new places. Angels & Kings was smokin' on Saturday night when I stopped by. Great for eye candy of all sorts

The design of this place is something new and fresh. I enjoyed the food very much. Ribs are great. Try it out for sure. The name is cute too.
