The folks at “Saturday Night Live” aren’t the best judges of which characters deserve to be repeat offenders and which are better left in the vaults. How many unwanted Saturday nights with “Mango” did we have to endure, anyway?

With that in mind, we’ve collected our top ten list of the most underappreciated characters to ever grace the show’s stage. They may not have been as prolific as those Spartan cheerleaders, but we’ll be damned if they weren’t funnier.
