4. Season one, take two
So maybe the writers strike wasn’t all bad. The one positive outcome of the lengthy hiatus was that it gave so many struggling freshman series, which otherwise might never have seen a second season, a chance to rethink their muddled plots, unsuccessful casting or overly ambitious visuals. The extra prep time before the fall ‘08 season should give shows like “Pushing Daisies,” “Dirty Sexy Money” and “Chuck” a chance to really get things right and avoid those terrible twos.
