Where he’s been: Locke’s evil dad, Anthony Cooper, ended up being the same man who caused Sawyer’s parents’ deaths in one of the show’s many small world moments. At the end of last season Sawyer was losing his grip on reality, having killed both Anthony and the "Mr. Friendly" Other, Tom, in cold blood.

What’s in store: Mental repercussions from all of that violence is a definite. We’re just hoping some more therapeutic canoodling with Kate will balance out the tough guy’s intensity.
