Let's not forget that we're getting the second to last season of the Greatest Drama of All Time, Lost, and the final season of one of the top 5 Dramas, Battlestar Galactica (for the record, Deadwood, Rome and The Wire round out the top 5). Plus, we get more 30 Rock, which has nearly replaced the void left by Arrested Development, and the 3rd Futurama movie (hey, it's still tv to me). Although in terms of new shows, nothing can ever beat that glorious year of 2001, when we got Alias, 24 and Scrubs all the same fall.

My favorite premium cable series is on Showtime. I'm looking forward to the next season of Dexter. Season premiere is later this month.
