I really love Maura Tierney and hadnt heard that she had cancer, Im really sorry to hear that. She is a terrific actress and I hope she has a quick and successful recovery. I think Parenthood looks like it could be a good show, Ill miss Maura but still tune in to check it out.

I'm sad that the magician and the juggler didn't make it to the finals of America's Got Talent (there was no ventriloquist in this years competition), because I've had enough of banal singers singing other people's songs. That other show that I don't watch takes care of all that. AGT is the only show of its kind that I watch precisely because of the variety involved. It's the closest thing we have to vaudeville. By the way, I voted for Grandma Lee. My only fear is that she might have a coronary if she wins.

Gots to say, the hot preacher's wife from "True Blood" going to "The Office" is awesome. I wonder if she's going to keep doing that weird thing she does with her tongue when she talks, or if that was a character trait.

I can't believe they fired Michaela Watkins, she was great and in a ton of sketches last season.

Grey'a Anatomy was so terrible this season, good for TR for getting out now! I never thought I would get into True Blood but having watched season 1 on demand, I am hooked!

I'm not sad about My Name Is Earl. I've never been able to sit through more than five minutes of that show because the voiceover narration consists of an awful, high-pitched twang that would give a dog a migraine. That guy has the most annoying voice since Fran Drescher. Go away forever, Earl.

I have somehow managed to catch a handful of episodes of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here and its dreadful yet also a car wreck I can't seem to look away from. I think the most interesting part of the Speidi action is how at various times their "reality" personas comes down (like when Spencer tells Heidi that those are the first real tears she has even cried on TV).

I think Simon Cowell is from Roswell, if you know what I mean. It was Seacrest on the grassy knoll. Paula Abdul shot J.R. Randy Jackson thought her shot was "a little pitchy".

I can't believe ABC picked up Scrubs, that show is totally not worth saving. What did everyone think of the Grey's Anatomy season finale? It definitely ended dramatically.

I am so happy that Mindy Kaling got her own development deal, she is one of my favorite people on The Office and her blog is hilarious. Also great news about Treme too, The Wire will always be one of the best shows ever on TV.

I get that these are tough ad times and in a bid for ratings, networks are eager for instant hits but it's very frustrating as a viewer to even attempt to invest in a show when we know that if it doesn’t perform right away, it will get yanked.

Friday Night Lights just got picked up for two seasons today- yay! One of the best shows on television and just because Jason Katims is involved in Parenthood, I'll check it out. Plus it still remains one of my favorite Sunday afternoon movies.

Yes, Gilmore Girls was the best! I totally agree, Terion. I can't believe Ashlee Simpson is going to be the lead on Melrose Place, are they trying to get people not to watch it?

OMFG! I'm so glad to hear that Gossip Girl is coming back, not that I thought that one of the CW's flagship shows would be going anywhere but I'm happy to know it is official. Not so sure about this spin-off though and I really think the ship has sailed on One Tree Hill.
