I had high hopes for this after reading a number of reviews and seeing its longevity. I went with two of my sisters, who were visiting from out of town. I had read good reviews and was excited to see what was in store. But I soon regretted any of us spending money on the tickets. I'm all for audience participation, but it got so repetitive when the nun "called" on people to stand up and tell their stories of going to Catholic school. But everyone had the same story...slapped, knuckles slapped with a ruler, all the stereotypical images of Catholic schools. And the people, who were in our age group of 30s and 40s, weren't telling the stories to be funny. I kept waiting for the "nun" on stage to deliver a punch line that never came. Instead, I started to wonder if they were going to pull out therapists' couches for everyone. Maybe it used to be good and has outlived its run...

I saw this play twice. The first time was in Joliet and the play was very entertaining and fun. The second time I took a friend and saw it at The Royal George Theatre. There were only 8 people in the audience. Again, the play was entertaining. But the actress (nun) took it too far this time. I played along with her directives until she proceeded to humuliate me. I was fuming and walked off the stage. I would have walked out if my friend hadn't been there. There were several different ways the actress could have handled the "punishment". If she had her way, I would be sitting in a child's chair, facing the wall, until the play was over. I will never take anyone to see this play again.
