Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Millennium Park
- Neighborhood: Grant Park Museums
- 201 E. Randolph St.
- Chicago, IL 60602
Massive ribbons of stainless steel frame Chicago's newest outdoor music venue--Frank Gehry's latest architectural feat--that resides inside Chicago's
Millennium Park. A steel trellis creates a graceful shell above the audience and suspends a state-of-the-art sound system. Glass doors enclose the stage for public events during winter months and decorative lights bathe the metallic "headdress" with color.
Jay Pritzker Pavilion opens to the public July 16-18 and is the new home to the Grant Park Music Festival, which celebrates its 70th season in 2004.
