With two air-conditioned theater spaces, Raven Theatre offers an ambitious line-up of performances. The larger space offers mostly first-rate revivals of mid-20th Century American classics (by Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, Thornton Wilder, William Saroyan and Kaufman and Hart) as well as a "Shorties" series of significant one-act plays. The studio theater houses workshops, readings, and a children's series of plays. Imaginatively run by the husband and wife team of Michael Menendian and JoAnne Montemurro, Raven Theatre has developed a true ensemble of dedicated and varied character actors of all ages and consummate competence. Their shows run well and long because they get them right the first time; critics and audiences supply the rest of the success.
