Founded in 1987, this theater produces new works by emerging Chicago playwrights and solo artists, with an emphasis on unusual subject matter and compelling visual components. More than 100 world premieres have appeared in the past 17 years, including Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan's long-running comedy "Late Night Catechism," David Kodeski's "I Can't Explain the Beauty," artistic director Sharon Evans' "Blind Tasting," Edward Thomas-Herrera's "Fun While It Lasted," and the quirky musical "Camp Nimrod for Girls." In September, 2008, Live Bait takes a hiatus from producing shows and hands the keys over to The Artistic Home.
