Actors Gymnasium

The Actor's Gymnasium, a brainchild of founder Tony Adler, is a place where actors learn to do more than strut the boards and recite lines. Here they learn to fly on trapezes, spin on ropes, tap dance, mime, and stage a sword fight. The circus classes are the most offbeat; here, actors can learn such skills as walking a tightrope or juggling. More traditional classes include gymnastics, physical comedy, drum performance, dance, puppetry and--believe it or not--acting. Situated in a gym of a former elementary school (now the Noyes Cultural Arts Center), the Actor's Gymnasium is open to adults and children.
