I really like the PH shows I've seen. The musical is so amazing! They are a talented bunch. After seeing the musical my friends and I came back for the phrenzy show and had a ball. I think their shows are pretty unique. You should check them out.

I've been to all the improvisation theaters in Lakeview multiple times and pH takes the cake! iO, ComedySportz, The Playground - you name it, I've seen it. pH's new space at Studio Be is very sleek and accommodating. It's nice that they now have 8pm shows to compliment their Midnights. There's a lot of strong talent in the group and to think that they run the whole team on their own is mind blowing! I'd say check it out if you're looking for something to do Thrus- Sat.

In a city that is not only saturated in improv comedy, but overloaded with talented funny people, pH always brings a fresh dose of things to laugh at. I have seen pHrenzy quite a bit, and the thing I love about it the most is when the comedy is so fast that you don't have time to keep up between the scenes and the laughter. I've paid money for nearly every comedy venue there is in this city. $10, plus byob, plus funny people (Who do this for free I discovered!) is a perfect combo for a weekend night of comedy. I will go back many times again. And my friends continue with me. We Love pH!!!

cdlyons: maybe you just caught a bad show. i went last week to a phrenzy PG (though i use that term loosely!) and i couldn't stop laughing. i won't try to explain the situation in full because i can't recreate it properly, but the guy playing the austrian baker on the "el" who couldn't find a seat had me cracking up even after i left the show. well done!

Apparently I have to be polite in order to have this post - I thought the point of commenting was to let other people know if it is good or not. So to put it politely....this was a comedy show that lacked any semblance of comical relief.

I frequent comedy shows...and this show was by far the worst; I barely chuckled two times in and hour. They should have paid me $10 to see the show. In the first minute of the show, I wanted my money back.

This weekend they're having FREE keg beer (or is that ph-ree beer?) at the shows tonight and tomorrow with ID and ticket purchase. Can't beat that.
