Chicago's premier comedy club since 1978 (and now the only stand-up comedy spot on the North Side), Zanies regularly brings in top names. Jay Leno, Sinbad, Jerry Seinfeld, Craig Ferguson, Chelsea Handler and Tim Allen were featured here regularly before you ever heard of them. Zanies' roster changes weekly. The club rates the comics' material for audiences (R, PG, G). All shows are smoke-free. On Tuesdays, people who live or work in the 60610, 60611, 60614 or 60654 ZIP code areas are admitted free. On Sundays, service industry workers are admitted free. Zanies also has clubs in St. Charles (Pheasant Run Resort), Vernon Hills and in Nashville, Tenn.

- $22-$25, plus a two-item food/beverage minimum. Special events may be more expensive.
