Whether you're interested in learning the Texas two-step, the fox trot or the boogie woogie, you'll find the tunes and the instruction you need at Willowbrook Ballroom. In business more than 80 years, the Willowbrook schedules dancing and/or live music six evenings a week. In the past, the ballroom's three-tiered stage, complete with a Liberace-style white baby grand, has welcomed the likes of Chubby Checker and Dolly Parton; currently big bands take the stage for ballroom dancing events, and on Sundays, local and nationally known swing bands set toes to tapping and skirts swirling. Ballroom, country-western and swing dancers strut their stuff on the Willowbrook's 6,000-square-foot dance floor. In addition to dancing and dance lessons, the place can accommodate 30 to 500 partygoers in five banquet rooms.
