The largest of the Michigan Avenue malls, Water Tower Place is anchored by Macy's. There are more than 100 stores spread over its eight levels--including Lacoste, Sephora, Chicago Cubs Clubhouse Shop and smaller outlets of many major retailers that have another presence on Michigan Avenue (Victoria's Secret, Banana Republic, etc.). The stores are connected by escalators and the mall's famous (and famously slow) glass elevators. There are many restaurants throughout Water Tower Place. The most cacophonous is Foodlife, a multistation food court that serves up made-to-order food--Caesar salads, barbecue ribs, stir-fried vegetables, pastas and much more. The Drury Lane Theatre presents revivals of popular Broadway productions; entrance on Chestnut.
Recent additions: Lakeview shop Skinstinct, known for its eco-friendly clothing and organic skin care line, is set to open a second location here in May. Akira added to its empire with a WTP outpost in late 2007.
