A lifelong Chicagoan, when I moved away I always returned to Vosges to indulge my chocolate cravings. A downright haughty salesperson told me they no longer sell their chocolates by the piece. Well, then, why bother with a retail store if I have to settle for prepackaged mixtures. As much as I enjoy most of their chocolate, this was the last straw--I'll go somewhere else for my cacao fix.

I have been consistently disappointed by these chocolates. In the last box I bought, not only did all the chocolates taste the same, but they all were stale.
