With shelves and canisters full of aromatic whole spices from all across the globe, this Old Town shop is a mecca for amateur and professional chefs. A curry-like scent envelopes visitors as they walk in the door, while apothecary jars and exposed brick add to the storybook-like feeling. Owners Patty and Tom Erd are always available to discuss the history and lore of the spices they sell, and they even conduct a class, Spices 101, for Kendall College culinary students.
