This utterly urban Brooklyn-born purveyor of T-shirts, messenger bags and other funky threads for men and women has set up camp in Wicker Park. After 10 years in business and running 8 stores throughout New York City, owners Lexy Funk and Vahap Avsar have chosen Chicago as the site of their first shop outside the Big Apple. The shop is fairly small, but packed with super-wearable threads. For guys, check out windowpane-print pants, striped windbreaker jackets, heathered grandpa cardigans and casual-cool blazers. For the girls, check out breezy tunic dresses, wispy tank tops and sailor-style slacks. Many pieces sport unique details, like feminine blazer with an oversized lapel, or an office-worthy pencil skirt funked up with a fishtail hem and plaid inset. You'll also find a constantly changing stock of T-shirts, with only a run of 200 shirts created for each print. As for accessories, choose from plaid fedoras, neutral belts and canvas laptop bags and purses with bright graphic prints (and lifetime warranties, if you believe it). And go ahead and ask the staff just how proud they are of the dressing room walls -- they're covered with hand-pasted pages of vintage National Geographics.
