Body massage and herbal wraps are the main focus at this neighborhood locale off busy Belmont. But what's different about Thousand Waves from most day spas is the extensive spa bath facilities. Relax in a Redwood sauna, a eucalyptus steam bath or a Jacuzzi hot tub pre-massage, and get the added benefit of fully warming up stiff muscles and joints. The simple, Japanese-style spa uses therapists who are trained in the Swedish technique (a signature treatment). You can also opt for a hot stone massage.

Use of the spa bath (three-hour limit) can be purchased on its own for just $20. Massages, which include the spa baths, run from $50 (30 minutes) to $115 (90 minutes) and are done in one of six treatment rooms.
