Founded in the spring of 1974 by choreographer Lou Conte, this studio is the home of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Offering instruction in modern and jazz dance and ballet, the school makes even the novice feel at home with classes such as "slow tap" and beginning hip hop/funk. Hubbard Street company members teach some of the classes.
Class fees: single class, $12; 10 classes, $105; 20 classes, $200; 30 classes, $285; 40 classes, $360; 12-week unlimited class card, $665. Prices subject to change.
