Think again before booking a spa day with friends...

Booked a spa day for birthday 6 weeks in advance, they completely messed up our services and I ended up going without a massage.. There was only 4 of us.. They did nothing to try and make up for it other than offering for me to come back and get a massage another time.. i can't recreate my birthday and time with my girlfriends.. If they are going to do parties they need to be managed and make sure all clients are satisfied. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

After several visits

I've been to Fuga on several occasions for a massage, facial, and mani-pedi. The first time it was great, the second was the worst massage I have ever gotten. The services seemed a bit pricey, but again mixed reviews overall. Great cappuccino though.

I have been coming to Fuga for the past several months to get my highlights done, along with a couple of other services. I always look forward to going there because I know that Fuga is consistent in their quality of services and professionalism. I would highly reccommend my stylist, Alex. I am kind of picky about my highlights, but with Alex my color and cut always look great; she always gives me exactly what I ask for. The personel are friendly and helpful, and the complimentary cappuccino is a nice icing on the cake.

Fuga

I LOVE Fuga!

I went here to get a manicure and for a facial.

My manicure was done by a lovely woman. Somewhat quiet, but she did a great job. It seems like I have had manicures that have lasted a little longer, but I would come here again for a manicure.

My facial was excellent! I had Pamela for a facial. She was amazing! Great conversationalist and great facial technician. She explained everything she was doing and just did an outstanding job! When doing a blackhead removal, she made it as painless as possible! She just moved here a few months ago and I hope that she stays in Chicago for a very long time! She truly is an asset to the spa industry in our fair city! She was so awesome, that after my service, when it was already late, she helped me find some make-up for a charity event that I was going to.

The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because you can't put the tip on your credit card. =( I had no cash on me so I had to come back another day to give tips. =(

One person at the front desk is unfriendly and rude
By knowcommonsense from lakeview, December 15, 2007

Abominable and downright strange behavior from the front desk (and I kind of like it when people have a little attitude/personality--as long as it is not malicious). A good friend of mine loves Antonio for cut/color and she always looks great after leaving Fuga, but I will not go back--the front desk completely negated any positive effects I may have received from my relaxing massage.

I have been here both for a bikini wax and for my makeup. Both experiences were great as was the service. I was very pleased. The one thing I will say is that a couple (however not all) of the front desk employees lack customer service skills. Need less attitude.

I was so surprised to read the last review because I had the most wonderful experience here. Upon entering the salon, I was very warmly greeted and asked if I wanted a beverage. I thought the front desk was very friendly. It only got better from there. I had a very bad experience with a brazilian wax in the past so I was very reluctant to give it another shot but I have to say that after the experience at Fuga, I'm hooked. Maria gave me the best brazilian wax. It was fast and practically painless. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease. So if you're tired of the attitude and hype come out here and you will not regret it. Oh, and an added bonus...the parking is not bad at all!

Front desk staff was not hospitable. Rude and unwelcoming. The massage I had was below average. I will not be back.

The staff is always helpful and friendly. The stylists do a great job and the facials I had made my skin picture perfect for my wedding.
