What an amazing experience - I am sure glad they finally remodeled this palace. I must admit this last expeience was amazing, I am sure glad they finally completed the one year rehalb job :) I recomend this place over any spot in Chicago, I love it - the staff are great, the place is clean and service is best.
Oh the stoli party was best event of the year - thanks Stoli for the free cocktails -- Elite Stoli tastes so damn good after the hot steam scrub....

Division Bathhouse--HOT HOT HOT

I went to a Stoli party at Division Bathhouse Monday and what a blast. Got a mani and massage. The place was just unbelievable. The steam room was so amazing--never tried ecstacy, but my guess is this is it. I heard of this place by all the guys and I am glad they are open to the ladies now! Co-ed is cool and the best part is it's only 20$ and BYOB.

what's the hype about?

two visits in a year....still not as clean as i would like...nor are the facilities up-to-date.
steam room was kinda grungy, i did not feel comfortable using the cold dip pool. masseurs were untrained as far as i could tell...won't ever go back. Still amazed that glowing revies still pop up once in a while!?

The first time i went to the Division Street Russian Baths it was heaven on earth. You could bake in the sauna, cleanse your lungs in the steam room, sooth your muscles in the whirlpool, pamper your skin with a scrub down in the sauna, and rejuvenate with a cold plunge after that. I was floating on air. The last two years i have been there 4 times and the only thing you could count on is the sauna and the cold plunge. The whirlpool or the steam room or both were always out of order. They also remodeled the locker room and some part of it is always under construction. I think they are riding on their past reputation to carry them, but how long should i wait for them to get it together. you may want to try Paradise Spa on montrose west of western. Its a japanese style spa and has all the bells and wistles working.

I was there for the first time on Monday after watching WGN News last week which had a review on the bath house, I love bath houses and had no idea one was so close to my house, I must say I had a nice time and will be back for sure, it is so great to just go and unwind after a busy day. Again, I had a nice relaxing time.

went for the first time and was surprised to find that an event was happening, which meant addmission and other charges had been waived. the staff were welcoming and hospitable.

only the steam room and cold pool were open. the hot pool and a separate room are scheduled to open next week.

the bath house offers massage services, but schedule in advance of coming. it does not offer a scrubbing service and because the bath house traditionally only caters to males, it lacks the staff that could help with the oak leaves.

the bath house is just opening more to women, so as a first timer i felt comfortable because no one else had been.
some women wore bathing suits and cover ups, and others were totally nude. one may want to bring a robe just for walking around between the locker room and the steam room.

bring fun steam items such as scrubs and masks.

I love this place. It's the last haven for men to be away from their wives and all the other annoyances in their lives. Great service, not pretentious, reasonable prices. A classic.
