You never know who you'll see at this Oak Street spa -- celebrities, including Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Whitney Houston and Jennifer Lopez, have stopped by when they were in town. One of the oldest spas on Oak Street, according to founder and owner Cheryl Renella, Channing's opened its doors in 1982. With an elegant, intimate Victorian feel, this two-floor brownstone is decorated with oriental rugs, framed oil paintings, fireplaces, chandeliers and a marble reception desk. Treatments include manicures, pedicures, massages, body treatments, micro-dermabrasion and facials.
