Watch out Threadless—there’s another indie T-shirt maker in town. This design collective comprises nine former street graffiti artists-turned-designers who have successfully segued from tagging public property to screen-printing shirts. Shop Chicago marks the debut of their spring collection, featuring prints ranging from ninja girls to “L” cars to graphic landscapes (pictured).
First design attempt: In his summer camp days, retail manager Rafe Pepin decked out T-shirts with RIT dye and a Sharpie.
Cost: $20-$75 for T-shirts and hoodies; $10 and up for past season and one-off designs
Also at: Andersonville Galleria
