With a name like Strut, we weren't surprised to hear that Margaret and Aga Jankuc, the sisters who own this Division Street shop, were inspired by the runway. You won't find an actual catwalk, but this long and narrow storefront is inspired by a fashion show set-up, with the store name emblazoned along the back wall and a DJ spinning tunes on Saturdays. If you look closely, you'll pick up on the differing styles of these siblings. Aga's a Harley-riding wild child with a penchant for edgy threads, while Margaret leans toward more girly, feminine designs. They both adore Miss Sixty, a women's line from Italy known for its bright and funky designs, and are stocking the largest selection found in Chicago, including shoes and swimwear.

For the ladies, you'll also find fitted rock band tees from House of the Gods printed with the real licensed logos from The Doors and The Rolling Stones, plus funky leather coats by Doma in hues like electric blue and silver. Check out handbags and super-wide belts by Jack Rabbit, a brand that's been getting buzz since Lucy Liu carried one of their clutches on "Cashmere Mafia." Gold pieces by West Coast brands Noir and Leila comprise the jewelry selection. Guys can check out Howe's thermals and tees, screenprinted with designs inspired by Japanese motorcycle gangs, plus casual short-sleeve button-downs by Toxic Waste. As for denim, you'll find rocker-style Robin's Jeans for both men and women.
