An "urban upscale" women's boutique, Eliana Lily is all about contemporary clothing, jewelry, shoes and handbags. Formerly located in Old Town, the shop is now housed up the winding staircase in a charmingly historic Armitage Avenue building, rumored to have served as everything from a boarding house to a brothel.. If you see a top or dress you love, we suggest you snatch it up right away -- only four of five of each garment is stocked here, ensuring you won't see every other girl on the town in the same outfit as you.
Cocktail dresses and silky tops by Nancy Rose (a fairly young brand formerly known as Thorn) plus denim by David Kahn and Chip & Pepper. Lined, impeccably made wool sweaters from Ibiso by Vanessa Witke feature alongside more casual hoodies by Rebel Spirit. The savvy staff here also undertakes custom handbag orders and offers restyling services, so if you've got an old bridesmaid dress you can't stand or an outdated family heirloom, they'll take your unwanted item and retool it into an updated version of its former self.
Complete with a couch-filled lounge area and kitchen in back, the store moonlights as a special event space. Owner Elizabeth Floersheimer also owns Blo salon, downstairs in the same building.
