Started as the popular sales event of the same name, Beta is now literally a boutique, just a half block off the beaten path of Damen Avenue. Just like at a sample sale, you'll find designer overstock and samples marked anywhere from 40 to 90 percent off. During past visits we've spotted women's clothing and accessories from big names such as Cynthia Rowley, C. Ronson and Marc by Marc Jacobs. You'll also find discounts on less sky-high labels, such as Free People, BCBG, Theory and Kenneth Cole. Like any good sample sale, though, stock varies on any given day.
