Recently relocated from a smaller space in River North, this shop carries fair-trade products from more than 30 countries. An eclectic assortment of housewares, bath products, accessories and miscellaneous goods fill the shelves, all with an eco-friendly, socially conscious bent. You'll find everything from colorful beach bags handwoven by artisans in Madagascar and Kenya to gifts that give back, such as Teddies for Two, stuffed bears made by a women's sewing cooperative in Afghanistan that donates a bear to a local orphan for every one bought. Natural bath products by The Enterprising Kitchen in Ravenswood, locally made Eleanor Reily Handmade Soaps, organic soy candles and a plentiful selection of jewelry ensure every gift-giving need is met. Greenheart also stocks coffee, chocolates and home goods such as wall-hangings, baskets and vases.
