Real-world design stores are great, but they’re rarely big enough to satisfy. That's where Elsewares comes in. Based in Brooklyn, the site features hundreds of unique items by designers and artisans from around the globe.
We love their adorable selection of kids gifts, like the “socktopuses” made from recycled materials and the robot onesie by Hard Boiled. Grown-ups will dig the custom-designed comic strips by New York Times artist Mark Weber ($200 for black and white, $275 for color). There’s even a handy search tool on the right hand side of the homepage that allows you to shop items by price (under $25, under $50, under $100) or by recipient (‘for her,’ ‘for him,’ ‘for kids,’ etc).
Shipping is free for orders over $150, and for an extra $5, they’ll even gift wrap for you.
