Introducing Gurnee's Latin American Flavor from Momcorn

As Gurnee’s Latin American restaurant, Momcorn features a new twist on corn. This relatively young business specializes in ancient Latin American recipes to create healthy and convenient meals made from corn, and foods that are Mexican and Latin. In particular, Momcorn expands on Mexican food to introduce customers to a broader Latin American menu.

Momcorn offers the authentic taste of Latin American market and street foods made with traditional methods of preparation in an American-style restaurant.  Sergio Rivera, Momcorn founder, is in charge of the recipes and guarantees the authentic flavors and high qualify of the food.

The restaurant incorporates modern technology. It not only has Wi-Fi in the restaurant for customers, but it has also a strong online presence through its website, Facebook and Yelp.  The website provides online ordering and allows customers to pay online, look at the menu or download it. Momcorn has already its own Android App. You can call, order or get directions from smart phones. A Momcorn App for IPhones is currently in the approval stage from Apple. The most recent technology addition is the customer reward program Belly Card. Momcorn co-owner Kathy Ross even transcended the borders to learn the art of making tamales via lessons on Skype with members of the Rivera family in Mexico City. Tamales are served every day and are one of the restaurant’s biggest sellers.

This Mexican and Latin American restaurant offers a variety of foods and gluten-free options. With Fall in full swing, customers may warm up enjoying one of its homemade soups, such as the red pozole that is served every day or with any of its hot dishes. All of Momcorn’s dishes are made from scratch and prepared to order, like the quesadillas made with fresh corn tortillas.
