Chinn's 34th Street Fishery in Lisle is hosting a fall and winter wine dinner on Oct. 18, starting at 6:30 p.m. The evening includes a five-course dinner with paired wines for $69.95 per person, not including tip and gratuity.
"We want our customers to come in and try new wines and menu items for the fall and winter season," Tyler Chinn of Chinn's 34th Street Fishery said.
The seafood restaurant’s wine dinner is featuring wines from BJ Valencia and Merryvale Vineyards in Napa Valley, Calif.
Courses include baked clams stuffed with garlic and parsley, paired with Starmont Chardonnay, for the appetizer; shrimp, scallop and black mussel cioppino with Merryvale Pinot Noir for the soup course; a salad with crisp romaine lettuce and peppercorn cheese, topped with Caesar dressing and paired with Starmont Sauvignon Blanc; a parmesan- and peppercorn-encrusted filet mignon medallion with lobster ravioli in a vodka-tomato cream sauce and grilled asparagus paired with Starmont Cabernet Sauvignon; and an espresso-soaked tiramisu with Merryvale Antigua Dessert Wine for dessert.
"We use our customers’ input to decide what items to permanently place on our menu," Chinn said.
In addition to the fall wine dinner, Chinn's 34th Street Fishery provides catering services and hosts events at the restaurant. Customers can choose from the restaurant’s wide selection of seafood, all made with the freshest seafood found in the area. Its "Raw Seafood To Go" section includes crab, lobster, shrimp, jet fresh fish, shellfish and calamari.
