Boston Blackie’s Deerfield branch is open under new ownership. This Boston Blackie’s location has experienced positive changes and an updated menu with ribs and burgers. The new ownership group has brought credibility back to this famous Chicago tradition.
In 2011, a newly formed restaurant group, which includes Bill Stavrou of Valley Lodge, Gerard Freaney of Blackberry and John Bozich of various business ventures, purchased the Boston Blackie's brand. Having close to two years of experience operating in both Deerfield and the Chicago Loop, the group has recreated the Boston Blackie’s brand and solidified its future.
“There have been numerous menu changes that have both respected the tradition of Boston Blackie's, like the famous burger, and included new and exciting items,” Bill Stavrou of Boston Blackie’s said.
The restaurant now features the famous Valley Lodge rib recipe along with broasted chicken, both of which have been a huge success. On the beverage side, the Deerfield restaurant and private dining venue is introducing a new wine list that has a variety of options for any taste and a craft beer selection that keeps up with trends.
The new menu items and management team have created an excitement that has contributed to the growth of the business, despite the difficult market.
"Don't be surprised to see a new and improved Boston Blackie's in your neighborhood," Stavrou said.
